Personalised Learning Paths
Initial assessment helps us understand where you're starting from. We adjust pacing and focus areas based on what you're actually struggling with, not generic curriculum milestones.
Drawing from Life – Observational Art Education
We've built a learning experience around how people actually observe and create. Not rigid schedules or cookie-cutter assignments. Just flexible pathways that work with your rhythm and personal creative style.
Get Programme DetailsSome folks thrive in live sessions. Others prefer working through materials at midnight. We designed three distinct formats so you can match learning to your actual life.
Weekly workshops at our Luton space. Real models, proper lighting, immediate feedback. Starting October 2025, Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
Video demonstrations, reference libraries, and monthly check-ins. Work through materials whenever suits you. Enrolment opens September 2025.
Combine both approaches. Attend studio sessions when you can, switch to self-study during busy periods. Maximum flexibility without losing continuity.
We skip the theory lectures. Each session starts with observation exercises—you'll work from still life, then move to figure studies. About ninety minutes of focused practice.
Halfway through, we review what's working and what isn't. Not generic praise, but specific technical feedback you can apply immediately. Then back to drawing with adjusted focus.
Honest feedback from people who've completed our programmes. These aren't polished marketing quotes—just straightforward reflections on what worked for them.
I joined expecting formulaic assignments. Instead got practical critiques that actually addressed why my proportions kept drifting. Took about five sessions before things clicked, but the feedback loop was worth showing up for.
Switched between studio and self-study depending on work travel. The continuity didn't break because the materials built on each other logically. Not revolutionary, just sensibly designed for people with unpredictable schedules.
Monthly check-ins kept me accountable without feeling micromanaged. Video demonstrations showed techniques clearly enough that I could practice independently. Progress felt gradual but consistent, which honestly suited me better than intensive workshops.
Twelve-week core programme with optional extension modules. We focus on foundational observation skills first, then layer in specific techniques as your eye develops. Most participants find their stride around week seven.

Miss a studio session? Access recorded demonstrations and submit work for asynchronous feedback. Life happens—our structure accounts for that without derailing your progress.
Programme ends, but resource access doesn't. Alumni keep video library access and can book quarterly review sessions to maintain skills or tackle new challenges.
